Orthophoto

Orthophoto is geometrically corrected aerial image ("orthorectified") such that the scale is uniform. Absolute orientation of the image and digital terrain model data is used for the ortorectification of aerial images. The optic effects and the slope of the aerial camera and the effect of the terrain diversity are removed. In a metrical sense the orthophoto is comparable with vector maps, the map sheet division is the same as for TTN 5. All orthophotos are available in TIFF format. Regarding resolution and color spectrum different orthophotos are available:

- DOF025 - color (RGB) orthophoto with ground sampling distance (GSD) 0.25 m

- DOF050 - color (RGB) orthophoto with ground sampling distance (GSD) 0.50 m

- DOF050IR - color near infrared (IR, R and G) orthophoto with ground sampling distance (GSD) 0.50 m.

Statement: Source for the production of Orthophoto are data of Cyclic aerial survey of Slovenia (CAS). Since 2015 the lidar surveying of Slovenia data is being used for orthorectification (DMR 1). Until 2015 DMV 5 and until 2006 the DMR 25 was used for orthorectification. The most recent data are from 2014 - 2017 and the period of CAS renewal is 2-4 years. The D96/TM (new national coordinate system) is used for ortophoto production, raster world files are also available in the old national coordinate system D48. The required accuracy of the orthophotos is RMSE (1 sigma) < 1.0 m, for Orthophoto created from 2015 to 2016 is the RMSE (1 sigma) <0.75 m, for orthophoto created from 2017 onwards the required geometric accuracy is 1.21 m with a 95% confidence interval in accordance with the ASPRS standard (ASPRS Positional Accuracy Standards for Digital Geospatial Data, Edition 1, Version 1.0., November, 2014).
