Območja onesnaženosti zunanjega zraka

Slovenija je za ocenjevanje kakovosti zunanjega zraka razdeljena na območja in aglomeracije. Obstajata dve razdelitvi, in sicer na območja za plinasta onesnaževala in območja za delce. Glede na ravni SO2, NO2 in NOx, delce PM10 in PM2,5, CO, benzen ter benzo(a)piren je Slovenija razdeljena na dve aglomeraciji, Ljubljano in Maribor in dve območji: celinsko in primorsko območje. Za težke kovine (svinec, arzen, kadmij in nikelj) pa je iz celotne Slovenije izvzeta Zgornja Mežiška dolina. Razdelitvi sta prikazani vsaka na svojem sloju.
